BYCP is proud to share that our senior youth worker, Sean Wright along with our Centre Manager Paula Murphy have been honoured by the Mayor and Mayoress of Slough this week for their incredible commitment to young people in Britwell.
They have each contributed 50+ years to supporting, guiding and championing local young people. Their long-standing service has helped create a safe, welcoming space where young people can develop, connect with others and feel part of a positive community.
The Mayor, Cllr Siobhan Dauti hosted the honour on Sean's birthday in the Mayor's Parlour in Observatory House. There were lovely cakes and sandwiches provided for everyone in attendance, including friends, family members and colleagues.

Cllr Dauti and Mayoress Julie Siddiqi MBE recognised the significant impact both Paula and Sean have had on generations of young people and the wider Britwell community, celebrating their passion, resilience and belief in the potential of every young person who walks through our doors.
Dennis Collman, an old friend of Sean attended and said "Britwell Boys' Club, which is still going strong after nearly 70 years, helping many youngsters of both sexes to keep off the streets by steering them in the right direction towards adult life. [] Running these clubs is not an easy task and takes a certain type of individual with the character and understanding to be respected by all of its members. Sean Wright is very much a Britwell icon and has been rightly recognised alongside Paula for their dedication and efforts in running the club for the last 55 years."
